OMG you guys!! Regular posting interrupted today because I won a giveaway from the amazing KarlaSugar! If you guys don’t know who she is yet, you need to check out her blog!! She’s probably the best swatcher out there. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves when people on the internet, and especially on the MUA message boards, start bitching about how beauty bloggers are only in it for the free products, aren’t trustworthy, sincere or honest, or how hard it is to start a beauty blog when companies aren’t bombarding you with free products. I think Karla is one of the best examples of how they are completely wrong as well as one of the best beauty resources out there. =)
Anyhow, I was one of the winners of her recent Senna Lip Lacquer Giveaway, and I received my prize package today.

I thought it was super cute that Karla had her DH help divide up the lipglosses when there were preference overlaps. I also think he did an awesome job! (I got Cosmo and Star Bright of the ones I chose.)

I’m a terrible, terrible swatcher, compared to Karla, so I’ll just refer you guys over to her blog. As she mentioned, the lipglosses are quite sticky, but I actually like them! And I’m really not even much of a lipgloss girl to begin with! They’re thick and cushy and moisturizing in a comforting sort of way. I guess they remind me of my favorite lip treatment, Physicians Formula Plump Potion (I primarily use this as a peel) except without the weird smell and tingling. If you don’t like getting your hair stuck in your lipgloss though, I would really not recommend these. I have pretty short hair so I don’t mind that much. Plus, they’re SO shiny and sparkly! I haven’t had something this sparkly to play with in a while heehee.
And of course I had to try them on right away. This was today’s original FOTD before SO and I went out for ice cream. (As a side note, the vitamin D3 and Avalon Organics Renewal Serum are working so well at healing up the cystic acne I decided to pull out P&J Tango to wear today. At this rate, I’m hoping the spots on my forehead will be gone within the next two months or so!)

And here I’ve added Senna Ginger (to prove to SO that a taupe lipgloss can be quite pretty) with just a touch of Cosmo on top.

The lipgloss does emphasize my liplines quite a bit in pictures but it’s not nearly as noticeable IRL. Am currently super happy with the sparkly bling. :D
Thank you so much KarlaSugar!! :D :D :D
